After growing up on the anime I needed to add the manga to my list as soon as possible， so here it begins I adore Dragon Ball everything about it， the characters and the way the story develops。 The only thing is that the change of names get to me at times， but that I can live with。

I love goku also his color of his hair as he transforms its so authentic and majestic。Its like everytime he dose that his power just spikes and he can only maintain it if he has a good mindset and bodyform。Also i love his attitude and how chill he is and his behavior is excellent and he dosent let the extremely overwhelming power get to him thats what i love about him

Dragon Ball Z is an excellent and iconic manga and anime。 I love this anime and manga because of its action， plot， and excellent character development。 A prime example in Dragon Ball Z of character development is the character Piccolo for reasons that you would have to read for ;）。 I would recommend it to anyone， specifically people interested in anime， action， big build ups， or fight scenes。 The writers of this series did a great job of creating drawings to correlate to the fight， and the pictu Dragon Ball Z is an excellent and iconic manga and anime。 I love this anime and manga because of its action， plot， and excellent character development。 A prime example in Dragon Ball Z of character development is the character Piccolo for reasons that you would have to read for ;）。 I would recommend it to anyone， specifically people interested in anime， action， big build ups， or fight scenes。 The writers of this series did a great job of creating drawings to correlate to the fight， and the pictures astonish me with how good they are。 They also astonished me with how when I read this series， it makes me feel like I’m actually in the story as a bystander。 Akira Toriyama， the creator of Dragon Ball Z did an excellent job of writing。 My favorite part of his writing is his buildups and character development。 I loved the illustrations in this manga， the fight scenes， the storyline， and the suspense and build up also; however， it took awhile for the story to progress sometimes。 I love the protagonist Goku because of his relentless work-ethic and spirit， his strength， his kindness， and how determined he is to save the world for him and his friends and family。 Akira did an excellent job of writing the character Goku， and Goku is one of the best parts of this series in my opinion。 I love the many antagonists because they serve a real threat to the DBZ world。 They also have excellent writing and ideas that were created by the author。 Many antagonists like Vegeta and Frieza are iconic with how well they were written too。Overall， Dragon Ball Z is an excellent first anime/manga for anyone wanting to get into anime or manga。 It is exciting， has excellent writing， and keeps you on the edge of your seat。 。。。more

This starts with Raditz arriving on earth and he wants to wipe off the entire civilization here on earth and he meets with his brother Goku and his newborn son and he is way too powerful to defeat but can Piccolo and Goku team up to save this world or not and some interesting revelations about Gohan are here！ Also Vegeta！ Great arc， amazing pencils and actions and just loved everything about this arc！

Trotz schwerer Verletzungen gelingt es Son Goku gegen Piccolo zu gewinnen und diesen unschädlich zu machen。 Doch anstatt den Teufel endgültig zu beseitigen， hilft Son Goku Piccolo sogar durch eine magische Bohne schnell wieder zu genesen und somit auch Gott weiterhin am Leben zu erhalten， da weder Gott noch der Teufel als einzelne Person existieren könnte。 Die Wege der Freunde trennen sich und vorerst herrscht Frieden auf der Erde。Fünf Jahre später treffen sich die Freunde wieder und zur Überras Trotz schwerer Verletzungen gelingt es Son Goku gegen Piccolo zu gewinnen und diesen unschädlich zu machen。 Doch anstatt den Teufel endgültig zu beseitigen， hilft Son Goku Piccolo sogar durch eine magische Bohne schnell wieder zu genesen und somit auch Gott weiterhin am Leben zu erhalten， da weder Gott noch der Teufel als einzelne Person existieren könnte。 Die Wege der Freunde trennen sich und vorerst herrscht Frieden auf der Erde。Fünf Jahre später treffen sich die Freunde wieder und zur Überraschung der anderen kommt Son Goku nicht allein zur Schildkröteninsel， sondern mit seinem vierjährigen Sohn Son Gohan。 Doch die Wiedersehensfreude währt nicht lang， als sich ein unbekanntes Flugobjekt auf die Erde zu bewegt und sein Pilot scheinbar finstere Absichten verfolgt。 Dieser scheint so stark， dass niemand etwas gegen ihn ausrichten kann， nicht einmal Piccolo。 Son Goku und seine Freunde werden von dem Unbekannten - welcher sich als stolzer Krieger der Rasse der Sayajins und mit dem Namen Radditz vorstellt - aufgesucht und scheinbar ungehalten stellt dieser fest， dass es viel zu friedlich auf der Erde ist， sollte sein Bruder Kakarott doch die Erdenbewohner eigentlich unterjochen。 Und dieser Bruder ist niemand Geringerer als Son Goku selbst， was diesen und seine Freunde völlig aus der Bahn wirft。 Wütend darüber， dass Son Goku seine vermeindliche Aufgabe nicht erfüllt hat， entführt Radditz den kleinen Son Gohan。 Son Goku macht sich auf den Weg， um ihm zu folgen und erhält dabei unerwartete Hilfe。Eigentlich hatte ich fest damit gerechnet， dass einfach nichts mehr kommen kann und die Ideen von Toriyama einfach erschöpft sind。 Doch man soll ja bekanntlich niemals nie sagen。 Eine völlig neue Handlung wird nun aufgerollt und diese geht auch noch über die Erde hinaus。 Aliens！ Wer hätte das gedacht？ Scheinbar ist in der Welt von Dragon Ball alles möglich。 Das Witzige hierbei ist aber， dass wir in der Welt von Toriyama auf der Erde zaubernde Schweine， fliegende Katzen， dreiäugige Menschen etc。 haben， aber wenn ein Mensch mit einem Affenschwanz daher kommt und behauptet ein Sayajin - also ein Alien - zu sein， dann drehen plötzlich alle durch。 Irgendwie verrückt， aber okay。 Ich mag diese Ironie。 Dass Son Goku also eigentlich ein Alien ist und auf die Erde geschickt wurde， um diese zu unterjochen ist ja ein starker Tobak und eine wirklich interessante Idee。 Son Goku will sich aber mit seiner eigentlichen Bestimmung nicht abfinden und wehrt sich gegen seinen vermeindlichen Bruder， der durch und durch böse ist - da wird einem sogar Piccolo langsam immer sympathischer。 Es kommt zu einem Kampf， der für Son Goku scheinbar eine Nummer zu groß ist。 Erstmals muss Son Goku feststellen， dass er doch nicht mehr der Stärkste ist und wenn das Ende so nicht wäre， würde ich glatt behaupten， dass er nun einen neuen Ansporn zum trainieren hat， aber scheinbar ist die Fortsetzung des Mangas eher auf den kleinen Son Gohan ausgelegt。 Es bleibt also abzuwarten， was passiert。 Wieder einmal wird in diesem Band ein Cliffhänger präsentiert， der sich gewaschen hat und den Leser mit einem absolut mulmigen Gefühl zurück lässt。Taschenbuch: 192 SeitenVerlag: Carlsen （15。 Februar 2001）Sprache: DeutschISBN-10: 3551733090ISBN-13: 978-3551733092Vom Hersteller empfohlenes Alter: 10 - 12 JahreGröße und/oder Gewicht: 11，3 x 1，7 x 17，6 cm 。。。more

This was a very good book。 At this point i had already watched a lot of the anime series， so it came as a surprise when a huge amount of details were changed。 I would recommend this book to anyone who has already watched the DBZ anime or is new to the series。
